As much inspired by the white heat of disco and afro-beat, as the perverted dirge of the Berlin club scene, The Usual Boys' music is a sonic stare in the mirror. Angular high-end and driving bass underpin a dark yet playful take on a young man's ascent into adulthood. The Usual Boys formed in 2017 when Ethan, Aleksi, Patrick, and Rasmus first met on their arrival to Berlin. Coming from Scotland, England, Finland, and Sweden and hailing from different worlds and contrasting scenes, they were unified by a need to cut through the noise and make indie feel electric again. The band spent the following 3 years building a sizeable local following and cementing themselves as a distinct highlight of the live rock scene in Berlin. Playing some of the most infamous clubs and heading local festivals, the band cut their teeth as an ecstatic and anxious live act with no reservation filling a bill with established bands.
