Lisabel is a contemporary soul, jazz and pop artist, singer songwriter based in London.Her musical journey began at age 15 when she started studying vocals, piano and harmony. In recent years Lisabel fell in love with Jazz and its more contemporary sub-genres including Soul, Neo-Soul and Nu Jazz, especially listening to artists such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Alicia Keys, Hiatus Kaiyote, Robert Glasper, Becca Stevens, Gretchen Parlato, Jordan Rakei, Emily King and more. Lisabel has studied in various music schools around the world, attending lectures and summer courses at Berklee College of Music, LCCM London, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Umbria Jazz Berklee Clinics.She moved to London in 2013 to further her studies, obtaining a music degree in performance from BIMM London in 2016. Lisabel will release her debut album ‘A Work of Art’ on May 5th. The album is made of 14 tracks all written by herself except a few songs which were co-written with London based keyboardist and producer Nikola Kovačević.Lisabel is driven by an urge to be boundaryless in genre. Her songwriting is intimate and introspective, often depicting personal stories about her life, her relationships, the power of nature and the social environment around her.
