Elena Poikilia is a soul-singer-songwriter born in Italy and based in Berlin, Germany. The name “Poikilia” comes from the Greek and it means “Variety” meaning the miscellany of styles and arts that Elena likes to mix together. Her musical experience started early, at the age of five with the study of classical piano and the love for poetry. At the age of fifteen she shifted her interest to indie- rock music and trained as bass player-guitarist while performing with different bands. In 2011 she graduated in Philosophy in Venice and then moved to Berlin willing to start a band and to perform live. Since 2013 she has been training as a soul/ jazz singer and performing in many projects and bands in Berlin. Her solo Project-Elena Poikilia- took off in 2019-2020 when she released her first single: “When I Say Goodbye”.
