With Congolese and Belgian origins, Anna Winkin was born and raised in Belgium. As an artist, she finds her inspiration through nature and spirituality blending African and classical music with R&B and Soul. Her lyrics reveal the journey of self discovery that she is on and that she shares and expresses through music. With an atmospheric sound, a soulful and crystalline tone, Anna Winkin’s music delivers a message of hope and love. She released her first EP called 'SPACE FOR LOVE' in 2018 and her single ‘BORN AGAIN’ in January 2020. Her artistry strongly developed when she moved to London in her teens to study music. Indeed, she graduated with a first class honors degree in Popular Music Performance at BIMM London and completed a masters in Jazz at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. ANNA has also been involved in several fantastic shows in which she performed alongside established Jazz singers such as Liane Caroll or Anthony Strong. She also played a set of her original music at renowned music venue ‘Ronnie Scotts’. Furthermore, she played the role of Irena in Kurt Weil’s musical "Lost in the Stars" (directed by Jean Lacornerie and conducted by Scott Stroman) which took place at Union Chapel. Her promising work will reveal her growing craft and rich musical journey.
